These symptoms can persist for many weeks to months after the early symptoms of infection have subsided. In a study published in RNN 39:6, scientists demonstrated that cognitive impairment in patients with long-COVID can be significantly improved in three to four days using alternating non-invasive brain stimulation using microcurrents. “This is the first demonstration that cognitive impairment can be improved in such a brief period of time. We believe that our treatment could benefit patients with long-COVID worldwide to improve cognitive impairment,” states lead author Bernhard Sabel. ▪ View the open access study here Click image below to view the press release on the IOS Press website: | Most Read RNN Articles in Q1 2022 Most read content via the IOS Press content website published in RNN in 2020 & 2021 Non-invasive brain microcurrent stimulation therapy of long-COVID-19 reduces vascular dysregulation and improves visual and cognitive impairment (Research Article in Vol.39, Iss.6, 2021) – Open Access (View Press Release) Sabel, Bernhard A. | Zhou, Wanshu | Huber, Frank | Schmidt, Florentina | Sabel, Kornelia | Gonschorek, Andreas | Bilc, Mirela Hyperbaric oxygen therapy improves neurocognitive functions of post-stroke patients – a retrospective analysis (Research Article in Vol.38, Iss.1, 2020) – Open Access Hadanny, Amir | Rittblat, Mor | Bitterman, Mor | May-Raz, Ido | Suzin, Gil | Boussi-Gross, Rahav | Zemel, Yonatan | Bechor, Yair | Catalogna, Merav | Efrati, Shai AhR and IDO1 in pathogenesis of Covid-19 and the “Systemic AhR Activation Syndrome:” a translational review and therapeutic perspectives (Research Article in Vol.38, Iss.4, 2020) – Open Access Turski, Waldemar A. | Wnorowski, Artur | Turski, Gabrielle N. | Turski, Christopher A. | Turski, Lechoslaw Non-invasive current stimulation in vision recovery: a review of the literature (Research Article in Vol.38, Iss.3, 2020) – Open Access Perin, Cecilia | Viganò, Barbara | Piscitelli, Daniele | Matteo, Barbara Maria | Meroni, Roberto | Cerri, Cesare Giuseppe Non-invasive electrical brain stimulation for vision restoration after stroke: An exploratory randomized trial (REVIS) (Research Article in Vol.39, Iss.3, 2021) – Open Access Räty, Silja | Borrmann, Carolin | Granata, Giuseppe | Cárdenas-Morales, Lizbeth | Schoenfeld, Ariel | Sailer, Michael | Silvennoinen, Katri | Holopainen, Juha | De Rossi, Francesca | Antal, Andrea | Rossini, Paolo M. | Tatlisumak, Turgut | Sabel, Bernhard A. | Please Share the RNN Newsletter With Your Colleagues Help Spread the News of RNN!
