New Stockholm+50 Section

EPL content showcase

Commemorating 50 years since the environment first took center stage, Stockholm+50: A healthy planet for the prosperity of all – our responsibility, our opportunity will be an international meeting convened by the United Nations General Assembly to be held in Stockholm, Sweden from 2–3 June 2022 (discover more in the press release here).

In advance of the upcoming event, our journal has launched a new section – Road to Stockholm+50 and Beyond – to seed the ideas that may be covered at the conference, written on a variety of topics by invited experts from global experts. These contributions will be published in the upcoming issues, as explained by EIC's Editor-in-Chief Bharat H. Desai, PhD in the editorial of Volume 51, Issue 5: "The 50th year milestone of UNCHE and UNEP presents an opportunity for EPL to probe the global environmental regulatory approaches, as well as to strive for ‘envisioning the future’. The special EPL section will carry some cutting-edge ideational reflections on the predicament we face today."

The first article in this section has now been published and highlights the accomplishments of the past five decades: click to view!
