Implementing a New Standard of Care – Openly Available Messing, Edward M. | 2022 YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARDS Awardees recognized for novel, early career research The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network,(BCAN) has announced the recipients of its four Young Investigator Awards, presented to exceptional early career research scientists and clinical cancer investigators who have shown a commitment to improving the lives of bladder cancer patients.. Each award provides a $50,000 grant that supports one year of bladder cancer research. There were three recipients of the Young Investigator Award: Raie Bekele, PhD, an Instructor of Radiation Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; Laura Bukavina, MD, MPH, a Urologic Oncology Fellow at the Research Institute of Fox Chase Cancer Center; and Weisi Liu, PhD, a Post-doctoral Fellow in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
